Baked Peaches


We are headed in to a long weekend here in Canada! I am so happy have an extended vacation, as it’s been an uber busy week. And October is full throttle right through until Halloween. While we will celebrate with turkey, stuffing and all the fixings, I am leaving you with a quick little recipe to make your long weekend recipe planning a bit easier. I first came across this baked peaches recipe when I was looking to satisfy my sweet tooth without reaching for a bag of candy. But after seeing how simple and successful it was, I quickly vaulted it to share with you.

This recipe is very easy to follow but I made a few tweaks: I added more brown sugar than the recipe called for (cause hi, we’re looking to score for the sweet tooth), you can see I let it coat the peaches more than the photo in the recipe index. I also didn’t bake it for quite as long, about 15-20 minutes, as I was afraid they may get too soggy for my liking; I wanted it to be juicy and sweet but not overly syrupy as peaches can do when baked.

The result was perfect for my tastes and I only wish I had some vanilla frozen yogurt or ice cream to pair it with. Drizzle this combo with a little honey or pure maple syrup, top with some granola and you have yourself an delicious fall dessert, perfect for the holiday without any of the hassle!
