Harbour Safaris

Ok guys I have been excited to share this with you for so long.

Over the holidays I was racking my brain on what to get my sis for Christmas.

Like I mentioned I’ve been all about experiences over material goods lately so when I discovered Harbour Safaris I was like ok I’ve hit the jackpot since we had a family trip to Nassau, Bahamas in January.

Needless to say my sissy was jazzed about when I gave her her gift (which at the time was just a waterproof case for her cellphone ha).

But for the full dets here’s what the deal is:

Harbour Safaris is a same-day boat excursion from Nassau to the Exuma Islands and IT IS INCREDIBLE.

So you head to a pier in Downtown Nassau in the morning where a boat picks you up and you make your way through the Exuma Cays.

We got to our first stop to look at the Bahamian Rock Iguanas who live on their own private island. This island was so cute because not only were these crazy iguanas running around but you’re in the middle of the ocean surrounded by this incredible blue water and white sand.

It was so crazy to be totally off the grid – my mind was blown with how beautiful this place was.

Next we went to the big showstopper which I was obsessed with sharing on my Instagram – Big Major Cay aka Pig Beach.

This place is everything and then some.

Running around and feeding the pigs, little and large (like 350 lbs L A R G E) was something I cannot even put into words.

This was an absolute bucket list moment and my heart is still pounding – legit pounding at the thought of how fun this day was.

It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I was so grateful to be able to share it with my sissy.

I also wanted to highlight that this excursion is the first of it’s kind for a a same-day trip to Exuma from Nassau where you don’t need to book a private boat or fly.

That’s right, people actually fly during their stay to go to this Beach so i am not stressing that it is a sight to see and one you must get to in your lifetime.

If you are headed to the Bahamas, specifically Nassau (travel guide to come soon) then I strongly encourage you to book this day tour and visit my piggy people, enjoy a delicious lunch at Staniel Cay Yacht Club and literally have the best day of your life while on vacation.
