Mum’s The Word.

Oh hi Monday, how are you doing?
I am not feeling particularly chipper today, as I know I have a loooong week ahead. But I am super stoked that I get to end it all with a delicious family brunch in celebration of my favourite superhero: my mom.
I was asked by a few people via Twitter to put together a little gift-giving list & offer some recommendations that you can share with your mama bear. Given that every lovely lady is different this turned in to quite the challenge.
But as any mother will tell you, we all have to start somewhere. I decided to start by keeping a slideshow of some favourites I’m considering for my mum. {I will continue to add to the list & let you know when I’ve updated it as well.}
I think the best place to begin is to ask yourself where your mama fits in one or more of the below categories:
~ Fashion Forward {From Clothing to Accessories}
~ Cozying Up At Home
~ Playing with Make-up & Beauty Products
~ Spa Treatments {At-Home or Out}
~ Always On-The-Go
~ Kitchen Comfortable
From here it is less daunting to decipher what you feel she will best enjoy. Maybe Mom A would appreciate a spa day, while Mom B would love a Lululemon Sweater for her morning run.
My easiest advice is to not neglect the usual suspects: wine and tea make excellent gifts and can be easily paired with a book and can also be beautifully packaged. If you’re absolutely stuck, do not be discouraged by gift cards or prepaid Visas…especially when their presentation is prefaced with, “Because today is all about you & what better way to have your choice!” When you’re at a loss, this is the perfect way to show mom you tried ~ and to be honest, I love getting gift cards; mainly because I love choosing anything I want.
With simple solutions like these there is honestly no excuse to avoid grabbing some goodies for your mom. Big or small you know she’ll appreciate that you were thinking of her on her special day.
Happy Monday i’m a littles!
I’ll be posting mummy business all week long, so be sure to pop in & out.
