Today is February 29th which means it’s a once every four years, leap year! Beyond the fact that this day is so special to me (it is my monkey, Choco’s birthday), it’s also an added day that we get to do something a little extra, which I always try to commemorate when I can!
So I’m proud to share that I’ve partnered with Microsoft Canada to spread the word about the #My24Hrs campaign. I’m delighted to share how Microsoft Canada and six inspiring storytellers have collaborated to deliver 24 Acts of Empowerment nationwide on this leap year’s extra day. Check out the video above to learn more about these six storytellers and their incredible stories. I had tears in my eyes watching each video and I’m so motivated by the powerful messages being shared to make the most out of every day, extra and otherwise.
If you’re in Toronto, the Microsoft Canada team is also hosting a fun event: a quick hi5 run through the city, led by Shane Feldman, one of the six storytellers. The mission is to create a positivity train and hi5 as many passerby’s as you can! I love the idea of this and I hope if you can make it you head down to the city (details are below).
Canadians are encouraged to follow #My24Hrs on Twitter for the complete list of activities taking place this Leap Day and to join the movement by sharing their stories on how technology empowers them to do more.
