world’s best shortbread.

i have always been a fan of shortbread…mostly because it is a cookie dough sans egg and i can eat it raw and lick the bowl without any worry. for this year’s Christmas fete, i used this recipe here & chilled the dough to slice into cookies instead of baking it whole. i also used leftover lemon curd, maple butter & melted chocolate to dip the cookies for a variety of flavours.

i wish i had more pics of the finished products but unfortunately they were so delicious that they went before i had time to take any photos! luckily some fam tweeted the end result. because they were such a hit, i can officially guarantee your loved ones will rave over the flavour but make sure you hide some away before serving because they’ll go fast!
